Final Project – Feedback

Hi there,

I really enjoyed your final project and how visually appealing it was. I enjoyed the animations you added to each slide, making the experience more immersive. I also like how you integrated the video of the application within a slide instead of having just a screen capture of it, it made the video look more professional overall!

Wonderful post Katoo!
I agree with you about how this course has made you start taking your PLN more seriously. This course has also made me realize how important it is to build and maintain a good PLN and how it can help me in both my personal and professional learning.

Hi Jacky,

It was a pleasure reading your post! I agree with you on PLNs being able to open up professional opportunities by using the resources available in PLNs. I also liked your point on using social media platforms to share your personal and professional expertise to attract potential employers and create more professional opportunities. Hi Nick,
It was a pleasure reading your blog post! I wholeheartedly agree with what you said about differentiating between emotions and facts being challenging for people who have strong emotional ties to a particular view. In my personal experience, there were times when conflict arose from the inability to differentiate between emotion and facts. With the abundance of media, we see on a daily basis, understanding media literacy and the ability to distinguish fact from fiction is important. Great blog post again Nick!

Hi Nick,
I enjoyed reading your blog post! I like the statistics you added in your blog and found it interesting to see the percentage of workers that believe social media may enhance workplace relationships. I also liked the statistic about how social media actually helps the retention of employees rather than negatively affecting productivity to be interesting. In my past workplace, a lot of my employees got close using social media and I think that knowing your coworkers and building a relationship with them can honestly make the workplace so much more enjoyable, so it is nice to see that reflected in the statistics. Fantastic blog post again!

Hi Jackson,
Great post! I agree with you on your point that digital wallets can only provide trust to the public if there are credible companies backing them. As someone who uses a digital wallet (Apple Pay) daily, I feel comfortable using it only because it is backed by a large corporation and supported by the banks that I use. Otherwise, I would be hesitant when setting up digital wallets, especially with the amount of Crypto scams that are going around.

Hi Zheyu,
I like your V&R Map and I find it interesting that you put Facebook in the institutional quadrant as I would usually think Facebook would be a personal platform. I agree with on your point about posts and how it is not about sharing who you are but who you should be. It is important to establish a digital identity that is positive to build connections in case an employer looks into your online presence. I loved reading your post!

Hi Junyang,
I agree with you on the risks and rewards of public communication and how cybercrime can threaten an individual’s property, mental, and physical health. With a large majority of the population using the internet and establishing a social media presence, it has become integrated into our lives. The consequence of this is that cybercrime can cause a detrimental impact on the individuals’ life.

I enjoyed reading your blog post Jacky! I agree with your steps in building a PLN and like how you also elaborated on security. I think your point on people keeping everything but their name and interests private is important, especially in new communities where you do not know who you are talking to, it is better to keep your information private for safety reasons. Fantastic blog post overall!

Hi! I enjoyed reading your blog post! I agree with you on having more vigorous regulations with social media when working in a vulnerable sector. In particular, I think there should be stricter regulations on posting photos of people in the vulnerable sector. For instance, posts of children in school should be regulated and should be only posted with the consent of a guardian. I also enjoyed reading about your marketing position! It was interesting to see how social media was encouraged in the workplace and how understanding it could help boost a companies product/image. Fantastic blog post!
